Rt. Rev. Dr. Noble McNeely
Peacehaven Trust was pleased to receive a visit from the Rt. Rev. Dr. Noble McNeely, and his wife Florence, on Friday 9th February 2018. Linda Wray, PCI’s Residential and Supported Services Manager, accompanied Dr. McNeely on a tour of Lydia House. Several residents from Blake house came to greet the touring party, and of course to have a cup of tea and biscuits. This was a very pleasant and informal occasion,
were the residents were able to connect with the Moderator, share stories with him, and talk about their lives in general.
Aidan passed away after a short illness on Sunday 17th December 2017 in London, surrounded by family. Aidan enjoyed living with his sister Patricia since he moved to London in 2015. Aidan had previously resided in the old Peacehaven house for 27 years and was a central and fun part of all activities that took place.
Aidan’s funeral took place in London on the 15th January 2018. A memorial service was then held in Greystones on Saturday 3rd February – which was a lively affair recalling the many many great qualities of the man, we are all happy to call our friend. Aidan will be missed but will be remembered for a long time to come.
To enable Lydia House to fully realise its potential, Peacehaven Trust has expanded its office facilities by adding a ‘Log House’ to the Lydia House site. This allows care staff to use the old office in Lydia House and free up space they occupied elsewhere – this creates a vacant bedroom!
Lily and Michael have moved into the Log House, which can be accessed separately and even has its own phone number 01 9101338. So please get in touch with us there.
